Question 1

How long does it take to create a personalized book?

Accepted Answer

You see a free cover preview before you pay. After checkout, your story and illustrations are created automatically and we email you when the digital book is ready. A printed hardcover typically arrives 10-15 business days after you add your shipping address in the US, Canada and UK, and can take up to 30 business days elsewhere.

Question 2

Will the illustrations really look like my child?

Accepted Answer

They are drawn from the photo you upload and the details you provide. A character reference is made from the photo, and every illustration is drawn from that reference. It is an illustration, not a photograph, and you see the cover preview before you pay so you can check the likeness first.

Question 3

What age group is this book appropriate for?

Accepted Answer

Ages 0-8, with four age-specific tiers: babies (0-2), toddlers (2-4), preschoolers (4-6), and early readers (6-8). Story complexity, vocabulary, and themes automatically adapt to your child's age range. Simply select your child's age during the creation process.

Question 4

Can I preview the story before ordering?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You see a free cover preview before you pay, so you can check the cover and the likeness before ordering. Each book is a personalised product made to your specifications, so all sales are final once generation begins. If your book arrives with a printing defect, we'll send a free replacement within 14 days of delivery.

Question 5

What if my child doesn't like the book?

Accepted Answer

All sales are final once story generation has begun, since each StoryCrest book is personalised and made to order. If your book arrives with a printing defect or quality issue, we'll send a free replacement — just email hello@storycrestbooks.com within 14 days of delivery.

Question 6

Do you ship internationally?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to many countries. Choose your country at checkout to see the shipping price and whether printed books can be delivered there; your exact address must also pass our print partner's shipping check. Digital books are available wherever you are.

Question 7

Can I edit the story after it's generated?

Accepted Answer

No, stories cannot be edited after creation. Each book is personalised and made to order as a final product. If your printed book arrives with a defect, contact us within 14 days for a free replacement.

Question 8

How many pages is the book?

Accepted Answer

24 pages, featuring 9-10 full-page illustrations with accompanying story text. This length is perfect for bedtime reading — engaging enough to hold attention, short enough to finish in one sitting.
