Question 1

How do your life event books help children adjust?

Accepted Answer

By making your child the hero of a story about that experience, building confidence and reducing anxiety. Whether starting school, welcoming a sibling, or moving homes, children see themselves successfully navigating the transition, which helps them process change.

Question 2

What life events do you offer books for?

Accepted Answer

7 major life transitions: Starting School/Kindergarten, New Sibling, Potty Training, Losing a Pet, Moving to a New Home, Making Friends, and Dealing with Bullies. Each addresses the specific emotional challenges of that milestone.

Question 3

Are these books therapeutic or just stories?

Accepted Answer

Both — they're therapeutic stories. Each incorporates evidence-based techniques from child psychology like social-emotional learning, positive affirmations, and modeling healthy coping strategies, while remaining enjoyable adventures. They're created to help, not lecture.

Question 4

When should I read the book to my child?

Accepted Answer

Ideally 2-4 weeks before a planned life event, read regularly leading up to the transition. For unexpected events (like losing a pet), start reading as soon as you're ready. Repetition helps children process and internalize the messages.

Question 5

Can I customize the story for our specific situation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you share details about your child's personality, interests, and specific concerns during creation. The AI incorporates these details to create a story that feels personally relevant to your family's situation.

Question 6

What age range are life event books appropriate for?

Accepted Answer

Ages 3-7 work best, when children are developing emotional vocabulary and coping skills. You specify your child's age and the story complexity adapts accordingly. For toddlers (2-3), simpler transitions like potty training work well.

Question 7

Will this book solve my child's anxiety about the event?

Accepted Answer

A story can make a change feel more familiar and easier to talk about, but results vary by child and it is not a treatment. These books are one gentle tool in a supportive approach. Some situations may also benefit from parent conversations, preparation visits, or professional support.

Question 8

Can I order multiple books for different life events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can create a separate book for each transition or for each child, and order additional books anytime — your child's profile is saved for easy future orders.
