Acceptance of Terms

By using StoryCrest, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

StoryCrest is a personalized children's storybook service. We use AI technology to generate unique stories and illustrations where your child becomes the hero of their own adventure. We offer both digital storybooks (downloadable PDFs) and physical printed hardcover books. Each storybook is uniquely created based on the information you provide about your child, including their name, interests, and appearance.

Account & Orders

• Accounts are created using email-based authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Orders are created through our website by providing your child's details and selecting your preferred storybook options.
• All payments are processed securely through Whop, our payment provider. By placing an order, you authorize Whop to charge your selected payment method.
• You are responsible for providing accurate information for your order. Inaccurate details may affect the quality of the personalized storybook.

AI-Generated Content

Please be aware of the following regarding our AI-generated storybooks:

• All stories and illustrations are generated using artificial intelligence technology. Each storybook is unique and created specifically for your order.
• We make reasonable efforts to ensure the quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all AI-generated content. However, due to the nature of AI, we cannot guarantee perfection in every detail.
• If you are unsatisfied with the quality of a generated storybook, please contact our support team and we will work with you to find a resolution.
• AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected or imperfect results. We continuously improve our systems to deliver the best possible experience.

Intellectual Property

• Your Data: You retain all rights to the personal data and photos you provide to us. We only use this information to create your personalized storybooks as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Our Platform: StoryCrest retains all rights to the platform, including our website design, code, branding, and the underlying AI technology used to generate storybooks.
• Your Storybooks: Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to use, print, share, and enjoy the storybooks created for you. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the generated storybook content.

Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

• StoryCrest storybooks are sold as one-time purchases. Prices are displayed at checkout and include applicable bundle options.
• All payments are securely processed through Whop. StoryCrest does not store your payment card information.
• Each StoryCrest book is a personalised product made to your specifications — including your child's name, photo, chosen theme, and AI-generated story and illustrations. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Regulation 28(1)(b)), the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (Article 16(c)), and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions, personalised goods are exempt from the standard cooling-off period. As such, all sales of personalised storybooks are final and non-refundable once generation has begun.
• If your order arrives with a printing defect, missing pages, or is materially different from what was described, we will send you a free replacement. Contact us within 14 days of delivery.
• Digital-only orders (PDF downloads) are also non-refundable once the story has been generated and the download link provided, as the digital content has been fully delivered.
• To report a defect or quality issue, email us at support@storycrestbooks.com.

Physical Products

• Physical hardcover storybooks are printed and fulfilled through our print-on-demand partner, Lulu.
• Shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected. Estimated delivery windows are provided at the time of purchase.
• Tracking information will be provided once your physical book has shipped.
• StoryCrest is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or other factors outside of our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryCrest and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. However, if you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these terms limits or waives your statutory rights under those laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of StoryCrest shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of StoryCrest after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
